Winter Wellness Toddy

 

This is your go-to remedy when you are sick with a cold or flu. It help boost immunity, brings important virus-busting powers to bear, and feels wonderful on a sore throat.

You could take this drink daily in the colder months of the year to support your immune system—and, in fact, to prevent colds and flus. 

You might even add a pinch of salt for added electrolytes.

Ingredients

  • 1 organic lemon juiced
  • 1/2 inch fresh ginger root grated
  • 2 slices fresh turmeric root diced fine
  • 1 pinch cayenne powder
  • 16 oz water
  • maple syrup to taste

Instructions

  1. Place the grated ginger and turmeric, juice of one lemon, and cayenne pepper into a 16-oz mug. 

  2. Bring the water to a boil, and pour it into the mug. 

  3. Sweeten with maple syrup to taste. 

  4. Drink and enjoy.
