We offer a number of events, seminars and workshops encompassing education on nutrition, meditation, skincare, dinacharya, Vedic astrology, women’s health, and herbology to name a few. Events are designed for our community to experience and learn about the different healing aspects of Ayurveda. Community education supports our vision of sharing the wisdom of Ayurveda in order to provide a holistic approach for individuals to heal themselves and return to their natural state of optimal vitality and well-being.
We will learn how to soothe and energize the face and head the Ayurvedic way. We will discuss: marma points, how to read the map of the face, and the use of essential oils and kansa wands. We will pair up to learn the traditional massage sequence that opens the channels and eases the subtle stress we often hold in the facial muscles.
You brush your teeth every day. You might even floss your teeth. There are a few more simple, easy practices that you can add to your daily routine that will better support you in health and wellness. We’ll try out a selection of: oil pulling, tongue scraping, neti, and eye wash. This will be an experiential class.

Directed by Jeremy Frindel (One Track Heart: The Story of Krishna Das), The Doctor from India is the fascinating story of one man’s mission to bring the ancient healthcare system of wellness called Ayurveda from India to the West in the late 1970s. In this meditative, immersive portrait, with interviewees including Ayurvedic practitioner Deepak Chopra, Frindel documents the life and work of Dr. Vasant Lad who, fulfilling his destiny as foretold by his family guru became a holistic health pioneer, helping to bring Ayurveda, which was almost unknown when he first arrived in the west, to become one of the most prominent alternative health systems in the world today.
Offered the Second Saturday of each month, these no-cost meetings will introduce you to the basic concepts of Ayurveda—as well as to the lovely staff at Bellingham’s Ayurvedic Health Center & Wellness Shop.

Join Dennis as he forecasts Rahu’s cycle and America’s date with destiny!
“To everything there is a season, and time to every purpose under the heavens,” from Ecclesiastes is the tune for these times as America has entered into a new season of time; the cycle of Rahu. Rahu is the planet of storm and rebellion in Vedic astrology and it will come as no surprise that the United States was born on July 4, 1776 in the planetary cycle of Rahu! America again entered the storm cycle of Rahu last year and elected Donald Trump on a revolutionary platform within his own party while Trump himself was in the planetary cycle of Rahu! If we wish to forecast the fruit of a particular season, we need to look back on the historical record of that past season, for as Mark Twain mused, “History never repeats itself, but often it rhymes.”
Eastern and western cultures are founded on fundamentally different principles regarding relationship. The social fabric of the east orientates the person more towards the family, and the west more towards the individual. This workshop will explore the wisdom of Vedic astrology as it relates to our most personal love relationships. Dennis will explore the celestial fabric of each of the planetary types and how they influence our compatibility in our most human need—the need to deeply connect with others in a world that is inherently isolating.
*Please provide your birth data at registration so you can bring your planets, but also bring your hearts.
