Ayurvedic-events

We offer a number of events, seminars and workshops encompassing education on nutrition, meditation, skincare, dinacharya, Vedic astrology, women’s health, and herbology to name a few. Events are designed for our community to experience and learn about the different healing aspects of Ayurveda. Community education supports our vision of sharing the wisdom of Ayurveda in order to provide a holistic approach for individuals to heal themselves and return to their natural state of optimal vitality and well-being.

Self Breast Massage Class @ Ayurvedic Health Center & Wellness Shop

Connect with other women, and learn self breast massage and healthcare. The PHAST breast massage technique gives you a quick and simple way to manage your breast care, improve circulation, and improve the quality of your tissue.

Annie Monroe works closely with her clients to formulate specific  massage styles and techniques to effectively meet the needs of each client, and find restorative solutions for the body.

You will gain an understanding of your individual Ayurvedic constitution (“Prakruti”) as well as how to support yourself in making healthy, supportive food choices. Classes include extensive full-color, illustrated handouts.

Topics that will be covered include:

  • the elements and the doshas
  • the bodily tissues/dhatus
  • the cycles of time and their relationship to the doshas
  • the six tastes of food –> Ayurveda’s nutritional model
  • the subtle energy systems
  • food guidelines for the different doshic types
  • Ayurvedic psychology
  • Sankhya philosophy, which gives context to this entire wholistic model and explains why humans exist on planet Earth

We may stray from time to time into other related Vedic sciences such as Jyotish / Vedic Astrology, yoga, etc. 

We will have plenty of time each class for questions and discussion. Bring your excitement and enthusiasm for learning!
