Learn How to Cook Kitchari

January 27th.  Tuesday.  6:30 – 8:30 p.m.

Please join Balabhadra and Juliet Jivanti to explore ktichari, an Ayurveda staple for all body types. Balabhadra will be making three types of this vegetarian one pot meal from various regions of India. This rice and mung bean dish is filled with warming spices, organic vegetables, and love. It is easy to make, exotic, and is considered the vegetarian option to chicken soup for anyone under the weather or just in need of some warm love in their belly. Balbhadra will also provide condiments to personalize each person’s dish. Whether you are an accomplished cook or a beginner you will find yourself putting this dish on your regular rotation of home prepared meals. Juliet Jivanti, the owner/certified ayurvedic practitioner of Bellingham’s Ayurvedic Health Center will introduce the concept of the ancient and vital practice of health adapted to body types.
Please contact the Bellingham Food Co-op at 360-734-8158 to register. $35. Event will be held at Bellingham Food Co-op Extensions Building on Forest Street.
