Sweet Takra

This recipe uses dairy yogurt. If you don’t tolerate yogurt well, use the coconut yogurt recipe.

  • 8 oz canning jar


  • ½ c. yogurt
  • ½ c. water
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon powder
  • 1 tsp. cardamom powder
  • 1 tsp. fennel seed powder


  • Mix the spices into the yogurt, then mix the water into the yogurt-spice mix.
  • Allow to sit, unrefrigerated, for at least 3 hours.
  • Drink at the end of a meal or as an in-between meal snack.
