This tasty herb and spice mix will help to stoke your digestive fire—and will provide some delicious flavoring to your foods.
- 6 Tbsp. fennel seeds
- 3 Tbsp. coriander seeds
- 2 Tbsp. cumin seeds
- 1 Tbsp. turmeric powder
- 1 Tbsp. hulled cardamom seeds
Put all ingredients in an electric grinder or spice mill and grind them. Once ground, store the mixture in an airtight container such as a glass jar.
You can spice food with this spice churna either by sprinkling it on while you are cooking or sautéing the mixture in oil at the beginning of your meal preparation. You may also sprinkle this mixture onto your cooked food.
