Oat Bars

Equipment

  • sauce pan
  • 8x8" baking dish

Ingredients

  • 15 chopped dates soaked overnight
  • 1 handful raisins soaked overnight
  • 2 handfuls sunflower seeds
  • 1 Tbsp. ghee
  • 2 tsp. cinnamon powder
  • 1 tsp. cardamom powder
  • 2 c. rolled oats
  • 2 c. water

Instructions

  • Soak the dates and raisins in 2 cups of water each overnight.
  • Preheat the oven to 350°F. 
  • Place the dates and raisins in a saucepan and add the remaining ingredients.
  • Cook until the water is absorbed, adding more water, if needed.
  • Place the mixture into an 8x8" oven-safe dish and bake for 30 minutes at 350° or until golden brown.
  • Allow to cool and cut into bars.
  • Store in an airtight container.
